Wheel, Superstition Mountain, Arizona

The most interesting subjects are often incidental details of larger scenes.  A collection of artifacts at an old mine at Superstition Mountain included features like this wheel.

Shapes and textures appeal to me, so I shot this closeup of the wheel.  The angles, colors and textures still speak to me, and I can almost touch them.  The wheel itself has long ago served its purpose, and the people who made it and used it are long gone, leaving it for tourists like me to notice it or not.
