Dog in field

This is a reminder that art in any form may escape easy definition.  This is a happy accident of photography and Photoshop.  It's colors, textures and composition called to me in every version of this picture.  The original scene, location and subject have left my memory except for a sense that this is in the rocky hills south of Hemet, California.  Taken on a foggy day, the picture still showed the sharp edges of dry bushes, and the autumn colors called for a more saturated pallette.  After a series of Photoshop filter applications to heighten color and texture, I used a distortion filter to apply an ocean ripple effect which produced this surprising result.
