Colonnade outside the Student Union at Louisiana State University, circa 1968.  Digital editing allowed me to overcome an exposure problem that I couldn't manage at the time this was shot.  My eye is often attracted to combinations of images, like this colonnade with the view of the building beyond or, similarly, rooms that include scenes outside a window, but the extremes of lighting are often beyond the range of film, particularly when shot hand-held with no opportunity to capture multiple exposures.  With conventional darkroom processes, I could burn in the overexposed part of the image, the distant building, but I couldn't blend the edges of the over- and underexposed parts of the image precisely.  With Bridge and Photoshop, I could burn in the exact part of the scene at the end of the colonnade as well as precisely adjust exposure and remove blemishes from this 35mm negative.
