Autumn Leaves near Lake Tahoe

This is another example where digital editing produces an image that, while manipulated to the point of impressionism, comes closer to what I saw than the unedited original.  In life the colors and shapes of turning leaves were certainly distinctive and caught my attention, but the resulting photographic image fell short of the visual experience.  When working with the image, I found more satisfaction in  Photoshop controls that enhanced the bright colors and blended the individual leaves.
